Watermark

Hey, I'm Brayden — founder of Constromata.

I've been in construction for nearly 20 years, starting out doing stucco when I was 15. Since then, I've worked hands-on in the trades, ran my own finishing business for 5 years, and held leadership roles in project management, operations, business development, and strategy. I've also spent years in sales — from retail and door-to-door, to tech startups and construction services. Whether I was selling my own work or helping companies grow, I've always been focused on figuring out what works.

Running a service-based business is hard — especially when you're just getting started. Between quoting, hiring, scheduling, and just trying to keep your head above water, it's easy to get overwhelmed. I've been there. But I've also found tools and systems that genuinely help — stuff that makes running a business way less chaotic and way more manageable, even if it's just you.

That's why I started Constromata. No jargon. No bullsh*t. Just straight-up support for people trying to build something real. I want to make the business side of the trades feel less like a maze and more like something you actually enjoy (or at the very least… something that DOESN'T make you want to jam a pen in your eye while you scroll TikTok for 45 minutes during the "one hour" you set aside for paperwork.)

You don't need a finance degree, a dictionary on standby or the patience of a monk. Constromata is here to translate big business boy speak into something that doesn't make you want to throw your phone.

(Seriously though — you do need to go through those receipts for taxes. Just do it.)

What I Want to Build

Beyond helping individuals, my hope is that Constromata can contribute to something bigger: making the trades a more attractive, sustainable path for the next generation. If we can make it easier for skilled workers to start their own businesses and succeed, we can also make sure those businesses are set up to profitably and sustainably improve financial rewards and working conditions for the people they employ. Then, we're one step closer to solving the labor crisis.

I'm not promising perfection — but I am promising to keep building, learning, and improving Constromata with one goal in mind: helping business owners in service-based industries run smoother, grow stronger, and stress less. And make more money. (← I married a language consultant and was advised to add some separation here to avoid a run-on sentence.)
